Battery Tripping Units (B.T.U.) for use in electrical substations to supply the impulse tripping and closing currents associated with high tension switchgear breakers whilst in most cases supplying any permanent standing load requirements of the switchgear panels. Users have the choice of self-contained models that can be panel mounted, wall mounted or floor standing and are generally 30VDC or 110VDC.
