Babcock Borsig Power Steinmüller is involved with Clyde Bergemann Africa through a joint venture with Clyde Blowers SA and Clyde Materials Handling (CMH).
Clyde Bergemann Africa offers complete soot blowing capabilities. Steam Sootblowers are used extensively for cleaning heat transfer surfaces in fired heaters and boilers ranging in size from the small fire tube/shell boilers to the largest industrial and utility boilers for power stations.
CMH designs a wide range of pneumatic conveying systems for bulk transfer of granular materials and powders across industries as diverse as food, pharmaceutical, plastic, minerals, chemicals, power generation and metals. The conveying systems operate over distances of up to 3 000m and can handle loads from a few kilograms per hour to 300 tonnes per hour. CMH's conveying capabilities range from dense, medium and lean phase to advanced vacuum conveying.
