MR Access LTD is a member of the MR Sentire Group whose principal interests are high technology products for the access control market.

The company was founded in 1984 to exploit magnetoresistive read head technology in magnetic card readers. The technology was originally developed for reading back information from hard disks and is the technology now universally employed in advanced high-density magnetic disk drives. The founders of MR Access realised the technology was also ideally suited to the harsh environments encountered by MAGNETIC CARD READERS in access control systems.

MR Access offers a range of magnetic card readers and card reader products which incorporate sealed magnetoresistive elements which are further protected with a ceramic overstate. The heads not only operate in wet conditions but also incorporate an integral heater which extends the temperature operating range.

This technique is now generally considered as the best card reading technology for the access control and related markets and has been incorporated in many tens of thousands of readers. Today, MR Access is the only company to exploit this advanced technology in magnetic card readers for access control.

Subsequent developments have added readers for system applications with RS232 and RS485 interfaces and KEYPAD/READERS all meeting the high standards set by MR Access. The company also provides Compact Single Door ACCESS CONTROLLERS for general access control and electronic locks for the hotel and hospitality market.

MR Access have introduced a range of high technology PROXIMITY PRODUCTS. These products are designed for the high security market and use a secure protected communication system to both read and write cards.

They continue to go from strength to strength and have also become the sole and official UK Distributor for the complete range of MOTOROLA RFID products.

With new technology being available, MR Access have expanded their product range to include BIOMETRICS VERIFICATION units.

WebCASt™, their most recent acquisition to the already vast range of products, is a state-of-the-art, revolutionary invention that combines web technology, time attendance, door access control, and intrusion alarm monitoring into one small, easy manageable unit.

Currently, they are the market leader in the UK, with a firmly-rooted presence in other European countries, the Middle East as well as in the USA.
