Oriental Motor is specialist for small electric motors and was founded 1885 in Japan. Today Oriental Motor employs more than 2,000 people worldwide, in Europe about 60 people in Germany, United Kingdom, France and Italy. Distributors are located in almost all other European countries. The South African market is supported by the European headquarters in Düsseldorf (Germany). Oriental Motor is approved to ISO9001 and ISO14001.

The products are divided into five categories: AC-Motors (induction and reversible motors, motors with IP67, AC speed control), brushless DC-Motors, stepping motors (2-phase and 5-phase, for AC-input and DC-input), linear motion/actuators (linear and rotary actuators, linear gears) and fans (filter fans, axial flow fans, centrifugal blowers, cross flow fans).
