Established in 1991, is:
1. The specialized manufacturing factory for a.c.& d.c. 10-1000kV/70-600kN silicone rubber composite insulators;
2. The testing base for high voltage insulation technology of Tsinghua University;
3. A world qualified supplier for composite insulators.
4. ISO9001: 2000 certified.
In April 27th, 2001, escorted by Professor Liang Xidong, Dr. Claude de Tourreil, Convener of CIGRE WG 32.03, visited Taiguang and wrote an article named "Chinese Manufacturer Looks to Bright Future for Composite Insulators" published in Vol.9 No.3, May June 2001 INMR.
The annual maximum production capacity is 600,000 pieces.
Series of Taiguang insulators get KEMA type test in Netherlands and 5000h ageing test in STRI.
Taiguang developed A.C. 1000kV/600kN composite insulator in December 2005
Taiguang developed D.C 800kV/600kN composite insulator in April 2006
