Schneider Electric has recently completed an acquisition of a South African BEE company RBF Technology (Pty) Ltd, a market leader in the field of design and manufacturer of LV Switchgear and Systems.

The transaction will significantly expand on Schneider Electric's objective to become a solutions provider with a manufacturing footprint in South Africa.

Since its founding in 1979, RBF’S panel range is generally seen as a benchmark in the industry, especially in the areas of Mining, Petrochemical , Metals and others. The company was also the first in South Africa to achieve the SABS mark on its panels and have been an ISO9001 listed manufacturer since 1991.

RBF is especially known for its ability to execute large projects successfully and its excellent reputation for service and quality has resulted in the company being a preferred supplier to a number of Blue-Chip Companies and organisations.
