NEW 1.2 kW Programmable DC Power Supplies

The new BK-VSP power supply series use modern switch-mode technology to produce high-power, low-noise switching supplies that cost around twenty five percent less than linear supplies with the same power.

Metrix Electronics Ltd offers four models that provide 1.2 kW power outputs at voltages up to 20, 40, 60 or 120 V DC. They provide precise output voltage control via manual tuning utilising front panel mounted ten-turn potentiometers or by remote control from an RS 232 (or optional GPIB) interface. All models have remote sensing capabilities to automatically maintain desired voltage levels at the load.

They are housed in compact 1U (44mm) high 19-inch rack mountable chassis that are just at home on a bench as they are in a rack. Up to nine units can be cascaded, producing more than 10 kW of DC power. Front-to-back air flow allows full power operation without space between supplies.

Higher-power power supplies like the BK-VSP series are being used in many production test applications such as R&D, magnetic system control, product design, automated test environments (ATE), process control, electroplating and burn-in.
